Fantastic piece of American Folk Art depicting Columbia among symbols of industry etc on one side and a highly detailed scene of Washington crossing the Delaware, all carved on a inch section of tusk inches diameter. Great piece with good patina and smooth light wear. Circa late 19th century. Measures 4.25 high, 4.5 wide and 3.5 across the oval.
