Fine 1850 Rococo Victorian laminated parlor table, rosewood, laminated arabesque open carved serpentine skirt and stretcher, white marble top, John Henry Belter (early work) or J. & J. W. Meeks, NYC, carved scroll, floral and fern fronds, shell and medallion carved on scroll legs, scrolled laminated stretcher, turned urn finial with center and handles being laminated, 42" x 29" 29"t. This is possibly an example of Belter's early experimental work with thin laminations, this table has seven laminations on skirt, up to ten laminations on stretcher, six laminations thru center of finial. Good original finish, later marble top.
