Circus Mechanical Bank (1820). Shepard Hardware Co., Designed by Charles G. Shepard and Peter Adams, Patented 2/8/1887. "Place the coin in front of the money receptacle. When the crank is turned the pony goes around the ring and the clown deposits the coin. The pony kicks up, the wheels turn, and the clown's arm moves up and down making it a very amusing toy." Includes the original key. Provenance- Oliver Clark Collection. From the collection of Bob Brady. Cast Iron. (Near Mint).
