M. Bandort 19th C. Owl, Swan & Moon Painting

M. Bandort - European School - "Owl and Goose Lovers Under Moon". Delightful 19th Century gouache watercolor painting depicting what appears to be a children's rhyme or story involving Owl and Swan lovers taking a nocturnal stroll under a full moon. Signed lower right M. Bandort pinx (after). Sight size measures 6 3/4" x 9 1/2", with period gilt frame 17 1/2" x 20". Old 19th Century Columbus Picure Frame Co. paper label affixed to back dated Dec. 1884 and addressed to a Capt. Fletcher. In very good condition with strong vibrant bright color.
