Details
Rectangular, the gold body reeded and decorated with black enamel stripes throughout, the hinged cover opening to reveal a match compartment, one side hinged and fitted with a match strike, with a cabochon ruby-set thumbpiece, inscribed inside cover probably in ink (now faded) 'No, Time, thou shalt not boast that I do change / x/16 / C.', marked inside cover and base with 'Fabergé' and workmaster's initials, also with London import marks for 1912
