Description
(lot of 5) Chinese cloisonne enameled garniture set, 19th century, the censer with a compressed body featuring the four characters 'Wanyan ji qi' (Wanyan ritual vessels) each in reserve amid colored lotus scrolls on a turquoise ground, with gilt dragon form handles and lion form supports, the domed lid cloisonne lotus in a ruyi form reserve amid openwork clouds and topped with a vajra finial; together with a pair of vases with a trumpet neck encircled by stiff leaves above two raised bands and with the same character cartouche as the censer repeated onto the tapering body; along with a pair of candle prickets decorated en suite and raised on a bell form base, censer: 17"h, vase: 12.5"h, candle sticks: 15"h; Provenance: Sold to Benefit Tibet House US, New York
