Description
The case after 1890, Hanau, Germany, makers mark of Ludwig Neresheimer, .800 standard; the French movement possibly by Flajoulot, rectangular, gilt-washed and repousse-decorated with flowers, foliage, C-scrolls and putti, the top centering a hinged oval lid with slide lever enclosing the rising chirping bird, the front panel with a relief-cast bird to the lever, with key-wind function, 1.75'' H x 3.75'' W x 2.25'' D, est: $2500/3500
Condition
Recently restored by Antique Music Box Restoration, Costa Mesa, CA. The case and mechanism in excellent condition overall (see attached restoration statement). With later key.
