Description
Studied physics and obtained a doctorate in natural sciences at the EPFZ. He is better known than his brother Jean in the field of high altitude. With a young assistant, he set a new altitude record at 51,775 ft (15,785 m) on 27.05.1931 in Augsburg (D).
