When they print a newspaper there is a metal plate for each page, or at least there used to be before today's new technology. What you have here is the actual used printing plate from November 5th 2008.

This plate would become the front page for the Los Angeles Times when history was made! These are extremely desirable and highly collectible.

But what you need to know is the newspapers also made multiple plates for retail because of the demand and how very few were used in the printing process like this one. It is very easy to tell because of the wear and the holes that were punched in to fit into the printing presses.
