This is a Reception Pass that was given out to Parents of Players who participated in the 2002 BCS National Championship Game in the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California. This Reception Pass was given to the Parents of the Players so that they could attend a special Reception that was hosted by the Rose Bowl Committee. On the Pass itself it has the official logo of the 2002 National Championship Rose Bowl game, the first National Championship that was hosted by the Rose Bowl. Also on the pass are the logos of the two participating teams, The University of Miami Hurricanes and The University of Nebraska Cornhuskers. Thus, parents of the Miami and Nebraska players were invited to this special reception. Once the parents of the players were at the reception, they also received a special gift, a lapel or hat pin. The pin shows the stadium of the Rose Bowl and inside the stadium there is a picture of a football and a rose. Then on the bottom it says, BCS 2002. Thus, it is dated. Also the pin is still on the original card and it says, "In Recognition of the support of the TEAM FAMILIES of the 2002 Bowl Championship Series Teams at the Rose Bowl. Pasadena Tournament of Roses Association. This pin is still on the original tag. There is also on a thick string that says, BCS NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP - THE ROSE BOWL - JANUARY 3, 2002. You get both the Parent Pass with the dated neck string and 2002 Family BCS Pin in this lot.

The pass is in excellent shape and the pin is still in the original plastic on the tag.
