1920's POST CEREAL CUT OUT PREMIUMS OF CIRCUS
Description
This is set of POST CEREAL PREMIUM that were put out in the 1920's. These are some of the earliest type of Post Toasties Cereal Type Premiums that kids could cut out of the back of the box and have Premiums to play with. These cut-out Premiums are a Circus theme and they contain cut outs of Circus Performers - and the Circus was a major form of entertainment in the 1920's. This lot contains a female performer who is balanced on a ball, a clown with two monkeys, a circus horse, a seal that is balancing a ball, a piece from a clowns outfit and lastly - the most important piece - a pig with an umbrella that is standing next to a wagon. Inside the wadon there are three boses of POST TOASTIES. A great early cereal premium. The graphics are great on these pieces of cut-out premiums. The back on all of the pieces is cardboard from the cereal box. The pieces show some wear as they were played with a little bit, but overall, for the age they are in quite nice shape. Great item for Cereal collectors or Circus collectors. All total there are 6 pieces in this collection and we are selling the entire 6 pieces as one lot.
Condition
Some minor creases and they were cut out by hand - so be aware of that. But overall they did a good job of cutting out the premiums. The pig with the wagon has some glue residue from the cereal box on the backside.
