Order of St Michael and St George Companions (CMG) neck badge, converted from a breast badge, silver gilt and enamel, in case of issue, China 1900, bar defence of legations (W.P.Ker Vice Consul), Coronation 1911 medal; China, Republic/Nationalist medal silver gilt and enamel, Ob. bust of Sun Yat Sen? in military uniform, R. crossed flags and wreath of wheat. On original Hunt and Roskell mounting bar. Extremely fine.(4)

***Sold with original warrant for the appointment to a Consuls General in China dated 1.March 1922. William Pollock Ker was born on 12th December 1864, educated Aberdeen University, Student Interpreter, China 1888, Consul at Wuhu 1902, Nanking 1905, called to bar Middle Temple 1903, Commercial attache China 1909-17, Consul Gen. Tientsin 1917-26, retired 1927 and died 6 Aug.1945, CMG 1913.. Confirmed on roll as entitled to the China Medal with bar Defence of Legations..
