Comprising a Staffordshire group of “The New Marriage Act”, modeled with a parson, clerk and a couple standing before flowering bocage, beneath a plaque inscribed 'THE NEW MARRIAGE ACT JOHN FRILL & ANN BOKE. AGE 21 THAT IS RIGHT. SAYS THE PARSON. AMEN. SAYS.THE.CLARK', on a hollow mound base. Some early repairs and some minor scattered flakes. Height 6.5 inches (16.5 cm). And an English Derby “Tithe Pig” figural group, depicting a farmer and wife presenting tithed goods, including their infant to a parson below a bocage decorated tree raised on a hollowed base with inscribed red Derby mark. Minor chips and flakes to bocage in tree. Height 7.5 inches (19 cm).
