Adolf Arthur Dehn (Brooklyn, New York, 1895-1968) 21" x 28" watercolor with gouache on paper. Titled "Winter Silence". Signed lower left "Adolf Dehn". Penciled on back "Winter Scene #1, Adolf Dehn 1962, 443 West 21, N.Y.C.". Adolf Dehn was born in Waterville, Minnesota. He studied at the Minneapolis School of Fine Arts and the Arts Students League in New York. In 1943, he won first prize at the International Watercolor Exhibition at the Art Institute of Chicago. Listed in Britannica, Cummings, Dawdy, Fieldings, Mallet, Samuels, Who's Who, Davenports, etc. A fine watercolor and gouache by a great artist. Fine condition.
