John Michael Carter (Kentucky, 1950-) 19" x 15" oil on canvas titled "The Luncheon". Signed lower right "John Michael Carter". John Carter was born in Chicago, Illinois. He attended the American Academy of Art in Chicago to study at the University of Louisville, Kentucky. Then he moved to Los Angeles where he attended the Art Center College of Design. There he graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 1972. He moved back to Kentucky where for ten years he taught drawing and painting for the University of Kentucky. Original Closson's label on back with title and price of $1800.00. Fine condition.
