David Ben Shaul was born in Jerusalem. He studied in Paris at the Beaux Arts Academy during 1962-1965. In the mid 1980's he became a teacher for lithography at the renowned Bezalel Academy of Art in Jerusalem. In 1993 he won the Mordecai Ish Shalom Prize of the Artists House in Jerusalem for a special contribution to the arts. He exhibited across Israel in museum and galleries, and published a portfolio with his lithographs.
