Dolgorukov, Deni's protégé and frequent collaborator, studied architecture before deciding to pursue an artistic career. He moved to Moscow to study at VKhUTEIN, and upon graduation found employment with IZOGIZ. His political posters earned him a number of awards at several international exhibitions during the Cold War period.
