A mahogany dial timepiece, circa 1900, the four pillar single fusee movement with anchor escapement and 10 inch white painted Roman numeral dial signed 'W. E. Watts & Co. Ltd., Stokes Croft' with an ogee moulded surround and salt box type case with side door and pendulum adjustment flap to the curved base, 37cm diameter. NB: W E Watts and Co. Ltd. are recorded in Moore A J 'The Clockmakers of Bristol 1650-1900' as working from Stokes Croft, Bristol circa 1899.
