A South Wales inlaid figured mahogany eight day longcase clock, circa 1820, the four pillar rack and bell striking movement with white painted 13 inch Roman numeral break-arch dial with subsidiary seconds dial, arched calendar aperture and signed 'W. G. Golding' to centre, the spandrels polychrome painted with dead game beneath retriever with pheasant in mouth to arch, the Bristol type case with shaped top arch pediment, twist pilasters and wavy edge door to hood, above short door flanked by quarter columns to trunk, on chevron banded plinth base, 202cm high.
