A George II walnut cased eight day bracket clock with pull quarter repeat, cica 1735, the substantial six finned pillar twin fusee movement with verge escapement and pull quarter repeat on six bells and rack strike on a further bell, the backplate finely engraved with Diana within ho-ho bird and trumpeting cherub inhabited formal foliate scrolls, the 6.75 inch gilt brass break-arch dial with calendar and false pendulum bob apertures, and arched silvered nameplate insribed 'Richard Craike, London' to the matted centre within a silvered Roman numeral chapter ring with fleur de lys half hour markers and arabic five minutes, with Indian mask and scroll cast spandrels and strike/silent ring between conforming mounts to arch, the inverted bell top case with brass carrying handle above finely pierced foliate side frets and mounded base, on block feet, repeat work and case with restorations, 48cm high with handle folded down.
