A full size Aveling and Porter Traction engine, possible converted from an early 1900's ten ton roller but as the engine has no works plates or numbers we cannot define its exact age or original build specification. It has been in the present owner's possession for the last twenty five years. Fortunately the owner, who is selling, due to health reasons, took off the motion, gun metal fittings, water pump eccentric, oiler's, hubs and many other items and stored them. The engine is being sold 'as seen' and will make a fine project, either as a road locomotive or a road roller when restored. This lot may be viewed in Bristol by appointment with the auctioneers. Please note: This lot attracts a lower Buyers Premium rate.
