Rococo Revival Etagere
American, third quarter 19th century. A Rococo revival rosewood and marble top etagere, attributed to Mitchell & Rammelsberg Furniture Co., Cincinnati, Ohio, having an ornate pierced and foliate carved arched crest over a central mirror, flanked by graduated shelves, the serpentine base with white marble top and drawer below, all rising on scrolling and floral carved legs, joined by a stretcher with three candlestands; ht. 95, wd. 50, dp. 21 in.
Provenance: By descent to the great great grand-daughter of Conrad Schultz, Sr., founder of The Washington Brewery, one of Cincinnati's early German breweries.
