Cesar Romero Joker Costume from Batman (1966)

Cesar Romero wore this champagne satin ensemble in his memorable role as "The Joker" in the ABC-TV television series Batman. Meant to represent a clown from a Pagliacci opera, this costume was used for the 2-part "Joker Is Wild" episode #1.5 that aired on January 26, 1966. The costume features an oversized tunic and matching pants. The tunic has two puffy black yarn pompoms running up the front, with a matching pompom on each of the oversized sleeve cuffs. In fine condition and originally acquired from Butterfield & Butterfield. This costume is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by Debbie Reynolds and Darren Julien of Julien Entertainment.
About The Series: Cesar Romero plays the villainess Joker in the 1966 television series "Batman". The archvillains of The United Underworld - The Catwoman, The Joker, The Riddler and The Penguin - combine forces to dispose of Batman and Robin as they launch their fantastic plot to control the entire world.
