Fred Astaire Costume - Belle of New York 1952

From the 1952 musical classic, presented here is a completed outfit--consisting of a a wide brim white hat, gold vest, pants, two ties, and a white blue-striped shirt--worn by Fred Astaire in The Belle of New York. Designed by Helen Rose and Gile Steele (shirt from Anton of Beverly Hills) and in fine condition. This costume is from the prestigious collection of Debbie Reynolds and is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by Debbie Reynolds and Darren Julien of Julien Entertainment. Proceeds from this sale go to benefit The Debbie Reynolds Hollywood Motion Picture Museum.
About The Film: Full of notable songs, this 1952 MGM picture stars legend Fred Astaire as an 1890's playboy who falls for a Salvation Army girl. Other cast members include Vera-Ellen, Marjorie Main, Keenan Wynn and others.
