Gene Tierney Velvet Dress Worn Belle Star '41

An impressive purple velvet period dress, worn by Tierney in the 1941 film Belle Star. Consisting of a skirt and long sleeved jacket, this elaborate outfit features braided trim along the jacket along with a lace ruffle along the cuffs. In fine condition. Studio wardrobe label on the inside of the skirt reads: "29321 G. Tierney." This costume is from the prestigious collection of Debbie Reynolds and is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by Debbie Reynolds and Darren Julien of Julien Entertainment. Proceeds from this sale go to benefit The Debbie Reynolds Hollywood Motion Picture Museum.
About The Film: "Belle Star" was a Twentieth Century Fox film released in 1941. Gene Tierney stars as Belle Star, angry at losing her lands to the Yankees in the Civil War, she marries a Confederate guerilla leader and continues to battle on. This film also features Randolph Scott and Dana Andrews.
