Original Drum Chairs Used in Ben Hur (1959)

From the Academy Award winning Ben-Hur, presented here are two fiberglass "drum" chairs used in the making of the epic film. Both chairs feature applique wave designs along the base and inner lining of the seat. Noticeable wear to the finish and the some chipping across the body. In overall good condition. Both chairs are approximately 30 inches tall and 32 inches wide. This lot is from the prestigious collection of Debbie Reynolds and is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by Debbie Reynolds and Darren Julien of Julien Entertainment. About The Film: This 1959 production of "Ben Hur" is a MGM classic. Legendary Charlton Heston portrays Judah Ben Hur, a Palestinian Jew battling against the might of the Roman Empire in the time of Christ. This major motion picture phenomenon won numerous awards. Charlton Heston, William Wyler, Robert L. Surtees, Miklos Roza and Hugh Griffith all took home Academy Awards. The film also received Academy Awards for best picture, art direction, costumes, editing, special effects and sound!
