Sheree North Hat - Best Things In Life 1956

Elaborate showgirl hat worn by Sheree North as Kitty Kane in the 1956 film The Best Things In Life Are Free. Hat features pink satin over a small crown topped with lavendar tulle and white ostrich feathers. An official 20th Century Fox wardrobe label on the inside lining of the hat reads: "20th Century Fox, A-771-72, Sheree North." In fine condition. This costume piece is from the prestigious collection of Debbie Reynolds and is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by Debbie Reynolds and Darren Julien of Julien Entertainment. Proceeds from this sale go to benefit The Debbie Reynolds Hollywood Motion Picture Museum.
About The Film: Twentieth Century Fox introduced "The Best Things in Life Are Free in 1956. This musical went from Broadway to Hollywood in the twenties and was centered around a songwriting team de Sylva, Brown and Henderson. This film featured Ernest Borgnine, Gordon MacRae, Dan Dailey and Sheree North. Lionel Newman was nominated for an Academy Award.
