Broderick Crawford Suit from Born Yesterday

Broderick Crawford wore this two-piece, double-breasted suit playing Harry Brock in the 1950 comedy BORN YESTERDAY. The navy blue and white pinstriped suit is made of heavy wool. The fully lined jacket has two exterior and two interior pockets and the pants are cuffed with inside buttons to accommodate suspenders. The pants have a pleated front and hidden vertical pockets. Each piece has a label that reads; Studio Clothes, Macintosh, Hollywood. The pants have the initials BC and an identification number handwritten on the label. An image showing the piece in use in the film also comes with the lot.This costume is from the collection of Debbie Reynolds and comes with a certificate of authenticity signed by Ms. Reynolds.
