Eleanor Powell Jacket for Broadway Melody '38

Car coat length black velvet jacket, worn (though not seen in the film) by Powell as Sally Lee during the making of the musical Broadway Melody of 1938. Created by Adrian, this jacket features black fringe across the chest with a gold embroidery and sequin design. In fine condition. Official MGM studio wardrobe tag attached to the inside reads: "E. Powell, 1111 6266." This costume is from the prestigious collection of Debbie Reynolds and is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by Debbie Reynolds and Darren Julien of Julien Entertainment. Proceeds from this sale go to benefit The Debbie Reynolds Hollywood Motion Picture Museum.
