Grey dancing skirt with self fringe at the hemline, worn by Peters as Catana Perez in the 1947 romantic drama Captain from Castile. A wardrobe tag on the inside lining reads: "1-64-2-0993 508-08 Jean Peters." This costume is from the prestigious collection of Debbie Reynolds and is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by Debbie Reynolds and Darren Julien of Julien Entertainment. Proceeds from this sale go to benefit The Debbie Reynolds Hollywood Motion Picture Museum.
About The Film: "Captain from Castile" was released in 1947 by Twentieth Century Fox. Starring Jean Peters and Tyrone Powers, the story line is about a young 15th century Spaniard who hopes for fame and fortune in the new world. Also stars Lee J. Cobb, Cesar Romero and Antonio Moreno. Alfred Newman was nominated for an Academy Award.
