Betty Grable Custom Clover Hat - Coney Island

Custom made Irish clover hat, prominently worn by Betty Grable as Kate Farley in the 1943 comedy musical Coney Island. Hat features green sequins over a green satin fabric design along with a black satin bowtie and sash for tying underneath the chin. Well preserved and in exceptionally fine condition. This costume piece is from the prestigious collection of Debbie Reynolds and is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by Debbie Reynolds and Darren Julien of Julien Entertainment. Proceeds from this sale go to benefit The Debbie Reynolds Hollywood Motion Picture Museum.
About The Film: This brassy, entertaining musical from 1943 starred Betty Grable, George Montgomery, Cesar Romero, among other talent. The Twentieth Century Fox production was about two fairground showmen that vie for the affections of a songstress. Alfred Newman was nominated for an Academy Award.
