Roddy McDowell Suit Worn in Confirm or Deny

A grey wool period suit--consisting of a double breasted jacket and pleated shorts--worn by a youthful Roddy McDowell as Albert Perkins in the 1941 wartime drama Confirm or Deny. In fine condition, both the jacket and shorts feature an official 20th Century Fox Wardrobe Label that reads, "20th Century Fox, A-330 10-29-41, Roddy McDowell 2pc, 4-69-1-0763." This costume is from the prestigious collection of Debbie Reynolds and is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by Debbie Reynolds and Darren Julien of Julien Entertainment. Proceeds from this sale go to benefit The Debbie Reynolds Hollywood Motion Picture Museum.
About The Film: An American reporter falls for a wireless operator in wartime London in "Confirm or Deny". This 1941 release was a Twentieth Century Fox romantic melodrama and starred Don Ameche, Joan Bennett, Roddy McDowall and Arthur Shields. Fritz lang directed some scenes.
