Off-white formal shirt with stiff grey front and matching french cuffs, worn by Peter Lorre as Fritz Bercovi in the 1943 drama The Constant Nymph. A sewn-in Warner Brothers costume label on the inside collar reads: "Date: 5-5-42, Prod. 393, Name: Peter Lorre." In fine condition, woth some minor expected soiling at the collar from usage. This costume is from the prestigious collection of Debbie Reynolds and is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by Debbie Reynolds and Darren Julien of Julien Entertainment. Proceeds from this sale go to benefit The Debbie Reynolds Hollywood Motion Picture Museum.
About The Film: This version of the romantic novel and play "The Constant Nymph" was released by Warner Bros. in 1943. A composer marries a rich woman without appreciating a young girls love for him. The star-studded cast includes Charles Boyer, Joan Fontaine, Alexis Smith, Peter Lorre, Joyce Reynolds and more. Joan Fontaine was nominated for an Academy Award for her performance.
