Lavendar chiffon evening gown, prominently worn by Elizabeth Taylor in her role as Carol Pringle in the 1948 comedy musical A Date With Judy. Created by famed designed Helen Rose, this attractive gown features a fitted ruched bodice with pearl sequin along the trim and chiffon straps. An official wardrobe label along the inside back lining of the dress reads: "1419 4758 Elizabeth Taylor." Some alterations have been made to the dress' original state, including the removal of a sequined lace peplum. The dress has also been re-dyed or has faded over time, otherwise, it stands in overall very good condition. This costume is from the prestigious collection of Debbie Reynolds and is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by Debbie Reynolds and Darren Julien of Julien Entertainment. Proceeds from this sale go to benefit The Debbie Reynolds Hollywood Motion Picture Museum.
