Millie Perkins Dress Diary of Anne Frank 1959

A terrific costume from one of the most riveting stories ever brought to the big screen, offered here is a aqua blue dress with braided trim at the collar and cuffs, worn by Millie Perkins in her portrayal of Anne Frank in the the 1959 film The Diary of Anne Frank. Some minor persperation marking at the shoulders, otherwise in fine condition. An official 20th Century Fox wardrobe label sewn into the inside lining that reads, "A-808, 20th Century Fox, M. Perkins." This costume is from the prestigious collection of Debbie Reynolds and is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by Debbie Reynolds and Darren Julien of Julien Entertainment. Proceeds from this sale go to benefit The Debbie Reynolds Hollywood Motion Picture Museum.
About The Film: "The Diary of Anne Frank" was released in 1959 by Twentieth Century Fox. The story was set in 1942 and follows a Jewish family hiding from the Nazis in an Amsterdam attic; just before the war ends, they are betrayed and sent to concentration camps. The cast includes Millie Perkins, Joseph Schildkraut and Shelly Winters. The film captured 4 nominations including one for best picture and actually won 3 Academy Awards: William C. Mellor, Shelly Winters and one for art direction.
