An exquisite period dress, worn by early silver screen legend Mary Pickford in her starring role as Dorothy Vernon in the 1924 romantic drama Dorothy Vernon Of Haddon Hall. In very fine condition, this dress features apricot cut velvet with a square cut neckline and lace trim. The short sleeves feature a soufle over lame' inserts trimmed with pearls and a beautifully crafted silver sleeve insert along the front skirt with elaborate seed pearl trim towards the hemline. Originally acquired from the Mary Pickford Estate Auction. This costume is from the prestigious collection of Debbie Reynolds and is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by Debbie Reynolds and Darren Julien of Julien Entertainment. Proceeds from this sale go to benefit The Debbie Reynolds Hollywood Motion Picture Museum.
