Dean Stockwell Suit Down to Sea in Ships 1949

A 2-piece brown wool suit worn by Dean Stockwell in the 1949 20th Century Fox film Down to the Sea in Ships. In fine condition, with 20th Century Fox wardrobe department stampings on the inside of both the jacket and pants. Also includes as sewn-in wardrobe label from Western Costume Company that is nearly obstructed by a tailoring adjustment. This costume is from the prestigious collection of Debbie Reynolds and is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by Debbie Reynolds and Darren Julien of Julien Entertainment. Proceeds from this sale go to benefit The Debbie Reynolds Hollywood Motion Picture Museum.
About The Film: An old whaling skipper wants his grandson to follow in his footsteps in "Down to Sea in Ships". Lionel Barrymore, Dean Stockwell, Richard Widmark, Cecil Kellaway and Gene Lockhart make up the roster for this cast. This seagoing spectacle was a 1948 Twentieth Century Fox production.
