From one of the greatest performers from the sci-fi/horror genre, presented here is a burgundy robe with a satin sash, worn by Vincent Price in his role Nicholas Van Ryn in the 1947 thriller Dragonwyck. Created by Rene Hubert, the robe features a gold braided emblem on the left breast. On the inside lining, a sewn-in 20th Century Fox wardrobe label reads, "20th Century Fox, Inc. - Job: A-460, Date: 4-45, Name: V. Price, Size: 44, Inv: 3-59-1-0200." Some minor fading to the left side of the robe, otherwise fine. This costume is from the prestigious collection of Debbie Reynolds and is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by Debbie Reynolds and Darren Julien of Julien Entertainment. Proceeds from this sale go to benefit The Debbie Reynolds Hollywood Motion Picture Museum.
About The Film: Twentieth Century Fox presented "Dragonwyck" in 1946. Set in the 1840's, a farmer's daughter marries her rich cousin not knowing that he had poisoned his first wife.
