A fabulous costume from a Doris Day classic, presented here is a complete mermaid outfit worn by Day in her starring role as Jennifer Nelson in the 1966 romantic comedy The Glass Bottom Boat. Created by costume designer Ray Aghayan, this costume features an elaborate orange bra with plastic flower patterns, a mermaid style single piece hand painted wetsuit, a set of hand painted swimming fins. Well preserved and in impeccable condition. This costume is from the prestigious collection of Debbie Reynolds and is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by Debbie Reynolds and Darren Julien of Julien Entertainment. Proceeds from this sale go to benefit The Debbie Reynolds Hollywood Motion Picture Museum.
About The Film: This 1966 MGM spy spoof stars Doris Day as a young widow who gets involved with spies. Set on the California coast, the slapstick comedy also stars Rod Taylor, Arthur Godfrey and Paul Lynde.
