A red wool flannel tunic jacket with yellow braid trim, worn by Natalie Wood in her role as Maggie DuBois in the 1965 film The Great Race. Created by renowned costume designers Donfeld and Edith Head, this jacket features an official Warner Brother sewn-in studio wardrobe label that read, "Warner Bros. Pictures, Inc, Natalie Wood, Dbl., 5-uniform." In fine condition, this lot also includes an 8 x 10 black and white photo of Wood during the scene in which this jacket was used. This costume is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by Debbie Reynolds and Darren Julien of Julien Entertainment.
About The Film: One of the greatest comedies of all time, "The Great Race" was a 1965 Warner Bros. spectacle. Jack Lemmon, Tony Curtis, Peter Falk, Natalie Wood and other talent take you on a car race from New York to Paris staged in 1908.
