Rita Hayworth Skirt - Loves of Carmen 1948

A terrific costume from one of the most popular actresses of the golden era of Hollywood, presented here is a brown skirt worn by Hayworth in the starring role of Carmen Garcia in the 1948 drama The Loves of Carmen. Designed by Jean Louis, this simple yet elegant skirt features a colorful striped trim pattern along with matching sashes. Some minor and easily repairable unraveled stiching to the trim, otherwise in fine condition. This costume is from the prestigious collection of Debbie Reynolds and is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by Debbie Reynolds and Darren Julien of Julien Entertainment. Proceeds from this sale go to benefit The Debbie Reynolds Hollywood Motion Picture Museum.
About The Film: In 1820's Seville, a dragoon corporal is enslaved by a gypsy, kills her husband and becomes an outlaw in the 1948 Columbia release of "The Loves of Carmen". The undeniably sexy Rita Hayworth leads in this film and also stars with Glenn Ford, Victor Jory and Ron Randell.
