A terrific 2-piece period dress (mid-19th Century), worn by Stanwyck in her starring role as Lorna Bounty in the 1951 drama The Man With A Cloak. Created by famed costume designers Walter Plunkett and Gile Steele, this blue dress features a green floral pattern lace chiffon trim at the cuffs of the jacket along with a flowing lace gown. In fine condition. This dress is from the prestigious collection of Debbie Reynolds and is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by Debbie Reynolds and Darren Julien of Julien Entertainment. Proceeds from this sale go to benefit The Debbie Reynolds Hollywood Motion Picture Museum.
About The Film: Joseph Cotton and Barbara Stanwyck star in the curious melodrama "The Man with a Cloak". MGM filmed this on it's choicest sets in 1951. In 1848 New York, a mysterious stranger (who turns out to be Edgar Allan Poe) helps a young French girl to keep her inheritance.
