A black, beige, and red plaid dress, worn by Jeanne Crain in her starring role as Margie MacDuff in the 1946 comedy classic Margie. Designed by Kay Nelson, this dress features lace design at the collar and a 20th Century Fox wardrobe label on the inside seam. In fine condition. This costume is from the prestigious collection of Debbie Reynolds and is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by Debbie Reynolds and Darren Julien of Julien Entertainment. Proceeds from this sale go to benefit The Debbie Reynolds Hollywood Motion Picture Museum.
About The Film: Smartly done with pleasing nostalgia, "Margie" stars Jeanne Crain in this 1946 release by Fox. Margie and her daughter reminisce about Margie's girlhood in the roaring twenties. In flashback, Margie, a smarter, less popular girl at Central High, meets handsome new French teacher Ralph Fontayne; circumstances keep throwing them together and Margie, in company with every other girl in school, develops a crush on him.
