Pink and white candy striped chiffon silk gauze dress, worn by Grable in the starring role as Delilah Lee in the 1951 comedy musical Meet Me After The Show. Created by renowned costume designer Travilla, this dress features a bodice of white organdy, lace trimmed bows at the cuffs, a ruched sash, large pink bustled bow, and four flounced underslips. A sewn-in wardrobe label from Jack's of Hollywood reads: "Betty Grable, Waist: 26." Some minor tearing to the fabric along the hemline of the skirt--all which can be easily repairable--otherwise in fine condition. This costume is from the prestigious collection of Debbie Reynolds and is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by Debbie Reynolds and Darren Julien of Julien Entertainment. Proceeds from this sale go to benefit The Debbie Reynolds Hollywood Motion Picture Museum.
About The Film: Delilah Lee is the star of husband Jeff Ames' Broadway show when she starts to suspect he has been exchanging more than contracts with the show's vampish backer. Alimony and amnesia become the order of the day. Click Here To View Auction Items From Barbra Streisand ImagesClick on thumbnails to see larger images:
