Walter Pidgeon Suit - Million Dollar Mermaid

A brown and color speckled 3-piece tweed suit--consisting of a jacket, vest and pants--worn by Pidgeon as Frederick Kellerman in the 1952 MGM musical Million Dollar Mermaid. In fine condition, all three garments feature a sewn-in wardrobe label from Logan Costume Company, and the vest and pants also feature official MGM wardrobe labels that read: "Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, Name: W. Pidgeon, No.: 1567-9363." This costume is from the prestigious collection of Debbie Reynolds and is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by Debbie Reynolds and Darren Julien of Julien Entertainment. Proceeds from this sale go to benefit The Debbie Reynolds Hollywood Motion Picture Museum.
About The Film: A sexy swimming star creates a scandal in the 1952 film "The Million Dollar Mermaid". Esther Williams plays Australian swimmer Annette Kellerman and the film also stars Victor Mature and Walter Pidgeon.
