Novak & Hayworth Costumes - Pal Joey (1957)

A terrific "one-two" combination from two of Hollywood's finest actresses, offered here in this unique lot is a matching dance outfits worn by Rita Hayworth and Kim Novak in the 1957 Columbia classic Pal Joey. Created by costume designer Jean Louis, the outfits consists of two pairs black sequin pants, two pairs of black bloomers, and two beige blouse bra tops along with a few additional articles of fabric materials. In fine condition, both pairs of bloomer pants feature an official Columbia Pictures sewn-in wardrobe tag that read "Rita Hayworth" and "Kim Novak", respectively. These costumes can be prominently seen in dream segment within the film in which Joey (Frank Sinatra) performs a dream dance number with both girls. These costumes are from the prestigious collection of Debbie Reynolds and are accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by Debbie Reynolds and Darren Julien of Julien Entertainment. Proceeds from this sale go to benefit The Debbie Reynolds Hollywood Motion Picture Museum.
About The Film: This 1957 Columbia movie "Pal Joey" was nominated for two Academy Awards. It follows the rise of a night-club entertainer who is also a heel. The smart musical featured legendary actors and singers such as Frank Sinatra, Rita Hayworth, Kim Novak and more.
