A two-piece black tafetta cocktail dress with black net overslip (circa 1940-50's), owned and worn by silverscreen icon Mary Pickford. Designed by Gene Hylan of New York, the outfit features a bodice of cream silk crepe and black tafetta in a geometric design with a silk organza overcoat. Acquired directly from the famed Pickford Estate Auction and in fine condition. This costume is from the prestigious collection of Debbie Reynolds and is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by Debbie Reynolds and Darren Julien of Julien Entertainment. Proceeds from this sale go to benefit The Debbie Reynolds Hollywood Motion Picture Museum.
