Mary Pickford Oil Painting - Pickfair Estate

Large and very impressive unframed full length portrait of the great Mary Pickford, accomplished in oil on a massive 42 x 80 canvas. Unsigned but likely attributed to Nikol Shattenstein, this detailed work features a vibrant, smiling Pickford in costume wearing a flowered dress and hat. Some moderate scratching to the edges with moderate surface scratches along the black background. A total of four minor canvas tears, ranging from one to two inches in length, none which detract from Pickford's image. In overall good to fair condition. Presumably a gift for Ms. Pickford, this very painting hung prominently in the Pickfair estate and was sold shortly after her passing in the famed Pickfair auction. This painting is from the prestigious collection of Debbie Reynolds and is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by Debbie Reynolds and Darren Julien of Julien Entertainment.
