A remarkable work of art for a truly remarkable woman, presented here is an incredible 42 x 80 original canvas oil painting of the silent screen's greatest star, Mary Pickford. Created by artist Nikol Shattenstein, who signs at the bottom left, this painting features a beautifully detailed full length image of Pickford during her prime. Pickford is featured wearing a period costume with green bows along with a purple and black striped dress with matching muff and hat. Presumably a gift for Ms. Pickford, this very painting hung prominently in the Pickfair estate and was sold shortly after her passing in the famed Pickfair auction. One small three-quarter inch tear is found in the area of Pickford's left hand, otherwise this painting stands in fine condition. Beautifully framed in a beautiful vintage gilt frame and ready for display! This painting is from the prestigious collection of Debbie Reynolds and is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by Debbie Reynolds and Darren Julien of Julien Entertainment.
