Binnie Barnes Dress Worn - Don Juan 1934

A beautiful beige linen floral patterned period dress, prominently worn in the Douglad Fairbanks finale The Private Lives of Don Juan. Designed by Oliver Messel, the dress features a bronze mesh design along the neckline and cuffs that is accented by bronze spring tassels which drape from the pattern. Some minor tearing to the fabric along the base of the dress, otherwise in fine condition. This costume is from the prestigious collection of Debbie Reynolds and is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by Debbie Reynolds and Darren Julien of Julien Entertainment. Proceeds from this sale go to benefit The Debbie Reynolds Hollywood Motion Picture Museum.
About The Film: "The Private Life of Don Juan" takes place in 17th century Spain where the famous lover fakes his death and makes a comeback in disguise. In 1934 London Films cast Douglas Fairbanks, Merle Oberon and Binnie Barnes in this fantastic story.
